N ) Vision FAQ
GENERAL INFORMATION
How far will I typically see at night?
The viewing distance will vary according to the weather
conditions, such as cloud, fog and rain. With an N-Vision device
you can see a person standing at least 100 yards away on a
clear, moonless night.
Can I really see in complete darkness?
While all of our models come with a built-in Infrared
Illuminator enabling you to see even in the darkest of
nights, you can alternatively use the device without the
IR on clear moon/starlit nights or during the twilight
hours of dawn and dusk. Just be careful not to expose your
device to sunlight or any direct light, which are harmful
and may damage its sensitive internal components.
What batteries do I need?
Most models use either 2 standard AA batteries, or
a Camera-type 3-Volt Lithium battery, known as CR 123, CR2,
or N-Type. Some models use a square 9-Volt battery. Please
refer to your Instruction Manual for further instructions.
How long will the batteries last?
Most batteries will last up to 15 hours without
the Infrared Illuminator on, and up to 10 hours with the
IR on.
Can I use rechargeable batteries?
Rechargeable batteries are acceptable, however the
operating time will be less (depending on the age of the
rechargeable battery).
SAFETY
Are N-Vision devices safe?
N-Vision devices are safe to use and comply with FDA
standards for an electronics device. Certain individuals with
sensitive eyes may experience eye-fatigue during extended viewing
at night.
Can Infrared Illuminators be harmful to someone's
eyes?
Absolutely not. The Infrared Illuminator beam
is completely safe to the human eye.
What is the recommended age to use N-Vision Night
Vision Devices?
N-Vision devices are recommended to anyone 18 years
or older. We recommend parental supervision to ensure proper
handling of our products to anyone under the age of 18.

the AuroraTM Series (Models NVA14, NVA23, NVA31, NVA39).
You can interchange with the following objective lenses:
1.4x, 2.3x, 3.1x and 3.9x.
