Haaglanden Police Department in the Hague (the Netherlands)

As a member of the Haaglanden Police Department in the Hague (the Netherlands)I wear Blackhawk gear from the beginning of Blackhawk Industries. I began with the 3day assault pack, other tactical gear, to Hellstorm gloves, Hydrastorm, Goggles, etc. It is the daily use of the BlackHawk Gear during detective-investigation, Raids, chopper-patrol, sea-patrol and also use during freetime. Blackhawk gear is the gear for life. However I am not an American, I am truly proud to wear Blackhawk gear every day.

U.S. Troops in Liberia Africa using BHI Packs

My platoon went to liberia, africa and my blackhawk pistol holster and 3-day assault pack was excellent. They withstood harsh weather and took a brutal beating. No problems with my gear whatsoever. I will buy more blckhawk gear in the future. Thanks.

BlackHawk CQB Belt saves Hiker

I have the CBQ emergency rescue belt that I wear just as a regular belt. Well while hiking a few weeks ago I was walking along this cliffs edge on a rather well hidden trail that not many hikers use and heard a moan type wailing and stopped with a buddy and looked over the edge and sure enough there was a person who had apparently broken a leg from the looks of it down at the waters edge!!!!! Luckily I carry a caribeaner and a rescue 8 on my pack, for no good reason, and took the rope the person was using dropped down to their aide! It just comes in handy!

TF 1-63 in Northern Iraq use BHI Holsters

My name is Micky _______, I am a sergeant (E-5) in the 1-63 air division.
My task force spear headed the nothern front in "Operation Iraqi Freedom." TF 1-63 landed fully loaded combat ready M1A1's into northern Iraq causing the entire northern front to collapse. SEAL's Hunt Al Qaeda

As a member of a SEAL team I deployed 6 days after the attacks on Sept. 11. My platoon scrambled to load out and get the needed equipment on the pallets for Afghanistan. My platoon made a brief stop and started to do non compliant ship boardings. We did this work for 2 months and the Blackhawk gear that we had issued and purchased never failed us once. Every night we went out on patrol and our gear was constantly drenched in salt water and diesel fuel. This combination is hell on gear and ours held up without failure. We were quickly sent to Afghanistan and began to conduct raids on Al Qaeda targets. The best equipment that we found worked was the commando chest harness. This held all of our sop gear and let us use heavy rucks for cold wheather/high altitude missions. When we would use vehicles to insert the platoon, everyone used this set up. Sitting in a HMMWV for a 120K trip with regular belted equipment is not comfortable at all. Arriving on target fresh ready to fight wearing equipment that you know will not fail makes all the difference in the world. I would personally like to thank everyone at BHI for your efforts. It is because of your efforts to make the best equipment in the world that our platoon operated non stop for 6 months and all came home to our families.

U.S. Marines using STRIKE MOLLE GEN 4

Prior to deploying to the Kuwati theatre my personal issue gear was stolen with no time for our supply system to replace it with adequate replacement, so we turned to Blackhawk. I will have to say being the only Marine in my batallion with "personal" gear I drew some rough looks but after the action was complete and we returned to the US the proof was in the replacement cost. Out of the entire STRIKE MOLLE that I bought I only had to replace one thing and that was due to my own negligence. Also my SWIFT three point sling performed outstanding.

BRITS use ISSAK Kit in Basra

I served with your Navy Seals on many Operations this year in Iraq,one of which was a very wet recce of saddams palace in Basra.I wore your issak rifleman flotation kit throughout.Its a bit battered now but doing fine.I would just like to say thanks for designing such a good vest.As you probably know us British, we like to carry as much kit on our person as possible for every eventuality in case we have to escape and evade etc,to that end we never take it off.I had about 80 ibs in my vest out there and it was so comfortable it became part of me,most of the time i slept with it on no problem so i would just like to say cheers for a qualit y piece of kit and never stop listening to those who wear it. PS My unit will be paying you a visit in the new year so start learning some British drinking songs!

U.S. Marine Artic Units Use BlackHawk Packs and Vests

I belong to the only artic Reconnaissance unit in the Marine Corps, and as such, most of my unit uses personal gear, rather than the non-mission specific military that was never designed for artic use. The bulkiness and awkwardness of the gear we use used to be a major problem when going to the field for weeks. However, the SOP pack that I bought, along with vest allows me to pack in all the gear I need, along with the snivel gear I want. Slowly, but surely, everyone in my CO is beginning to outfit themselves with BHI gear.

Belive it or not our unit issued every rifleman your M16 Magazine Butt stock holder for our rotation to Bosnia. it performed very well. It always held and was a very secure way to carry our magazine while on base and also allowed you to carry a second magazine while out on patrols that was in very easy reach. They were very durable in fact not one person in the entire company had one malfunction, ever. We carried them for nine months straight everyday and holder stood ready for action at a moments notice with out ever failing. Thanks for you commitment to us in the field.

Chuck,

I just wanted to drop you a note and tell you how incredibly helpful all the Blackhawk gear was while we were in Baghdad. The products you make definitely stand out in more than one respect. Everything you provided performed flawlessly under the most grueling conditions. I wish I could say that for the rest of our stuff. The 3-day assault packs literally never left our side.

At the risk of boring you with war stories, I feel compelled to pass one on.

Just about every afternoon we would go on hikes around different parts of Saddam’s former palaces. One particular afternoon, 2 MP’s came flying past us in a humvee. About 100 yards in front of us they slammed on the brakes, exited the vehicle and came running at us. We were a bit shocked. When they got to us the young Sgt apologized for having to ask a favor of us. It seemed that his new turret gunner had arrived that day from the states. The problem was that he had no gloves and his M-249 got really hot during their afternoon patrols with the outside temperature sitting at about 110 degrees. He respectfully asked if we might have an extra set. I reached into my pack and produced a set of tan Blackhawk Nomex Aviator gloves and handed them to the Sgt. He thanked us profusely, gave us his name and guard location and asked that we please come drink a beer with his men that evening. As he walked away I asked him why, of all the people in the compound, did he stop and ask us. He simply replied “I don’t know who the f*** you guys are, but with all the great Blackhawk gear you’re wearing, I figured you were my only hope”. Right now, there’s a very happy 249 gunner wearing a pair of your gloves somewhere in Baghdad.

Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks again for producing great gear that will take the heat. I mean this literally and figuratively.

RAPTOR and SOF Ruck ,Combat Proven In Iraq.

While currently deployed in Balad Iraq I have Carried to 2001 Raptor Pack, the 2001 SOF ruck and I have put them both to the test! As expected the have proven to be the best asset I have had when I purchased them in 2001 and now in the last 10 months in country. Many of my fellow soldiers carry the issued gear and it has fallen apart. NOT MINE! Thank you for making an outstanding prouduct!

Ambushed Along the Pak/Afghan Border

Mike,

Just wanted to let you know our patrol got ambushed along the pak/afghan border yesterday. I took two rounds, one in the back (plate stopped it) and one in the arm. Have RT Kabul for medical treatment and will be moving forward to UAE then UK before coming back CONUS. As a pal I wanted to let you know that your plate carrier held that plate in the spot needed.

A Very Different HellStorm Story

I'm a Paramedic who makes use of a lot of your gear for work and play:
belts, packs, pouches, hydration systems and of course hellstorm gloves.
It all functions impeccably and lasts well in the field too.

Those thick XL Hellstorm high risk 8-mil inspection gloves are what I
carry when I when I am on the ambulance. There is nothing quite so
comforting, when you are approaching a major trauma patient, than to
have confidence that your gloves aren't going to split on you during
extrication and packaging of the patient.

I always thought of them as strong, but until the other day, didn't know
just how strong.

I was driving my wife and new baby daughter home from a routine shopping
trip. I knew that I had a nail in a rear tire and had made arrangements
to get it repaired, however, on the way home, just after joining the
interstate, the nail shot out of the tire and it began hissing loudly.
Within about 30 seconds it was totally flat. It was a particularly
challenging situation because when I went to change the wheel, I noticed
that the wheel lock key had not been replaced at the last tire rotation.
I looked in the trunk of the car and there was nothing of any use to
help me.

Then, I spotted my medic bag. I opened it for inspiration. I needed a
solution quickly as a violent thunderstorm was just coming over, rain
was heavy and visibility was poor. I didn't want to be stuck at the
side of the road as a sitting duck for too long. The medic bag offered
little in the way of inspiration, and then, as I was restuffing the
contents, I came across a pair of my hellstorm nitrile gloves. The plan
came to me in an instant. Cut the palm piece of the glove away from the
fingers and then poke it into the hole left by the nail - I wasn't sure
if it would hold, but thought it was worth a shot and that it might get
me home. I cut up the glove and poked a 2-3" circle of it into the
fairly large hole, using a screwdriver bit from a multi-tool - any
lesser glove would surely have just ripped apart. It took some getting
in, but finally I had the bulk of the glove section inside and just a
small piece sticking out. By now the rain was torrential and trucks
were howling past us way to fast and way too close. I had to give it a
go. I inflated the tire and listened for hissing - nothing. I finally
got it all the way up to 32 psi and headed off down the road, my wife
looking disbelievingly in the door mirror to see how quickly it would go
down.

We made it the 3 miles to home, whereupon Dad was the celebrated hero,
and then I photographed the glove just to prove that it had been
possible. When I headed off to get the tire fixed the following day,
the tire was still at the inflation pressure and the glove held all the
way to the shop. By pushing the glove inside, the tire pressure had
opened it out and was forcing it against the tire tread from inside and
blocking the hole.

If anyone asks me now why I wear those distinctive light blue full
length gloves, I'll tell them - they about saved me and my family's
life!!

Prior to my departure to Baghdad at the beginning of this year, I purchased some gear and I used it every single day for over 6 months. During that six months I abused my gear and it held up to the test. Some of the marines and army soldiers I worked with were not as fortunate to have such high quality gear and many had to end up replacing their stuff mid tour, so I passed along a Blackhawk catalog, and them on board. Believe me, the next trip I take, your gear will be with me!!

HydraStorm Shines in Rough Hiking Conditions

Dear Blackhawk,

I wanted to let you know how impressed I was with my Phoenix Pack and the attached Hydrastorm Extreme. I tested the pack in the Grand Teton range in Wyoming over the last week. After two heavy rainstorms, mud and a hailstorm(marble-sized), my pack is still looking good. I love how rugged the zippers are, the comfort of the hip belt and the way the pack hugged my back on some serious vertical ascents. The 100 oz Hydrastorm Extreme was the first water carrier system I've used in a pack. I was amazed at how easy it was to carry 100 oz of water and not feel it. Needless to say, I ended up hydrating both my friend and myself when his water carrier (made by those other guys whose company starts with "C") leaked all over his pack. The outer fabric still looks brand new. Thank you for an excellent product!

The Tactical Response Boot is a heavier duty boot with a Vibram F$S outsole in “Trek” compound for excellent traction and stability in urban environments. Constructed with an OrthoLite custom molded footbed, a Durable etc® breathable lining, and a fiberglass shank, the Tactical Response Boot, with its rugged exterior, is designed for SWAT professionals yet comfortable enough for all day wear. Continuing the Night-Ops tradition of naming products after the military tools that changed history, the Xiphos was a double-edged, single-hand sword used by the ancient Greeks along with a spear or javelin in battle. It is the forefather of the Roman Gladius sword. The straight, double-edged design of the Xiphos pistol light lends it the same overall martial versatility found in the swords used by infantry until the firearm supplanted the sword on the battlefield.

BlackHawk Announces GSA Contract Award #GS-07F-5828R

Mike Noell, CEO and President of BlackHawk Products Group, Inc., announced today the award of a five year Federal Supply Service contract from the General Services Administration (GSA).

The BlackHawk GSA Contract provides nearly seven hundred authorized items and multiple brands of tactical military and law enforcement equipment to worldwide government buyers. BlackHawk envisions a large future expansion to that offering as its new government production capabilities increase.

The contract allows for single purchases up to $300,000 from BlackHawk or one of its participating GSA dealers. BlackHawk’s GSA awarded contract number is: GS-07F-5828R and its CAGE Code is 0XA57.

Government customers can find these products on GSA Advantage (www.gsaadvantage.gov) and can request quotes through GSA E-Buy. Government customers can also purchase BlackHawk products by working directly with BlackHawk’s participating GSA Dealers. BlackHawk Acquires All Season's Apparel and Announces Expansion of U.S. Manufacturing

Mike Noell, CEO and President of BlackHawk Products Group, Inc., announced the acquisition of the manufacturing assets of All Season’s Apparel, Inc. of Post Falls, Idaho. “The manufacturing capabilities of ASA will be merged with our current U.S. cut-and-sew manufacturing. During this transition, key ASA management will immediately enhance our US Manufacturing capabilities. In addition we will form BlackHawk USA Manufacturing, LLC to carry forward the unique branding of our company in the govt contracting arenas."

“When we acquired Jungst Scientific a year ago, we really bought capabilities,” Noell continued. “We then expanded those capabilities and merged them with our Delta Design acquisition. The result was a unique set of core competencies that have resulted in two industry breakthroughs: CQC Serpa Holsters and the Night-Ops Gladius illumination tool. We intend to use that same strategy with this acquisition.
